A GPTCHB Navigator is:
A person expertly trained to help consumers “navigate” the new health care exchange by providing accurate information about eligibility, enrollment and specifications of health care options including health insurance, the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Additionally, Navigators help consumers understand new tax credits for premiums, cost- sharing reductions and waivers of copays and deductibles for members of tribes using Indian Health Service (IHS).
Navigators will also conduct public education initiatives to increase awareness of the new health insurance exchange, and provide referrals to health insurance assistance offices in support of consumers with questions or complaints.
In short, we are here to help you find, enroll and use quality, affordable health care coverage to provide you and your family with the best possible health care available.
